My job is pretty lonely with no music allowed whilst we work.....so I think about real stupid things like:-

what time is it?
where does this go? (I'm a shelf stacker at a supermarket u c!)
Where has that fine girl gone?
I wish I could knock all these wines over?
Saying "no do it urself" to my manager.....etc

I talk so much at work (necessary repetition at times)... that when I get home... the physical silence is golden. As for the rest...

well let's just say my workday is usually fulfilling and very unpredictable, hardly ever boring.

Plus... thank goodness I don't have time to org while at work, sane time does exist. ~Smile.

To be honest, i work as a shelf stacker one day a week (9 hours mind) and I can always do overtime so i'm lucky.....Iam only 18 and still at college! The people at my work r quite cool, but it is lonely as we don't get to work together and its a huge store!

But I enjoy what I'm doing, so it's all good.

Take a day off?

Drink G&T.
Go shopping.
Stay home and watch 'Only Fools And Horses'.
Play PS2.

- taking unnecessary trips to the lactation room (they have "pumps" in there)
- writing emails.
- staring at my computer screen.
- moving my mouse around every couple seconds.

I try to think about what I'm going to do when I get home and what my plans are for the weekend. Somehow that carries me through the day.

I'm usually too busy to think about getting through it all but on the really bad days (which are increasing in number ) I gaze at the pics at my desk (all pics from the trips I've taken, New York, LA, Paris, New Orleans, Vegas, Graceland etc. it helps remind me why I keep going to work.) and/or I've got a group of close friends with whom I email, sometimes all day long. There's about 8 or so of us who just keep long chain email conversations going throughout the day. It's fun, cause at least a few of the folks are good friends who live out of town, so it's like I always know what's going on with them. In fact, that's prolly the best part of my work day.

I work in a huge music store, I absolutely love it, I worked upstairs for 2 years and had my own office office and could put whatever i wanted on, but I desperately wanted to be downstairs, owning a section and meeting peeps, so I did, the downside is that EVERY flamin staurday we have same ole shite playing, like all ur chart stuff , but in the week we play specialities and the freedom and control I am given is fantastic


I love it, love it love it.....yeah I know Im lucky I enjoy my job but hey, its taken me ages to get one I love....
