Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown | |

Is it in the rules to deactivate everyone who questions a moderation decision then?

I know he was upset that a comment made about flying planes into skyscrapers wasn't cut because his brother was in the world trade center. He questioned it and the moderator concerned decided to deactivate him.
I dont get it | |

Matt? 2the9s questioned a moderation decision, and he was asked to discuss it with me privately. That's the proper procedure under the rules. Instead, in defiance of the rules, he chose to follow up with a second post. He's been deactivated because of his past record of breaking the rules and trying to manipulate the moderation system. In fact, I believe this is deactivation number five for him. As for whether he will be reactivated, I've referred the matter to Ben for a decision. Because of the U.S. presidential election, today has probably set the prince.org record for the most number of moderation requests/incidents in a single day. And for most of the day, I've been the only moderator online with the ability to moderate the Politics & Religion forum, where virtually all of the trouble has been. So if I seem a little trigger-happy today, it's because I'm trying to keep P&R from turning into a flame pit. Anyway, this is off-topic for General Discussion, so... Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
