Two Poems Thought I'd see how theese work here
The Desperate Spiders of Autumn The desperate spiders of autumn Weave ragged webs midst barren trees Dark bare branches scratch the sky October’s moth will come no more The webs hang useless in the night Tuesday on a summer pond Movement on the bank beyond Something that I thought was dust Flickers in the underbrush Lonely fingers grasp my oars Pulling towards the distant shore Now a sudden grip of fear As my tiny boat draws near Darling I am growing old I’ll dye my hair and keep it gold For all the plastic platitudes I can’t express my gratitude I feel the need to keep at bat With catalog shopping and online chat Sing, sing little bird Pretend you did not hear a word When we take you from your cage Fly back in Shut the door Sitting on the bed spread Dust and cobwebs Stands and shakes loose I have a lot of catching up to do Persistence Torrential rain covers us ecstatic for a better now I Finally the curve of her breast the taste of her tongue An interruption snowflakes in streetlight coldness at the edge of dawn wandering lost My arms draped gently around her tighten now Her thigh on the carpet A reflex her head tilts back her neck I taste it once Eyes close breasts expand with breath stomach tremors under a kiss A moments undecided hesitation she gasps an inhaled word They pass they did not see me his look intent hers content Has she no tears no memory mine yet haunts me resurrecting sensation with each new emotion A gentle fog rolls off the blackened river beside me I step quietly through it Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

Moderator | Wow! I really love the first one! The second one is great too though! In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Thank you both, it is so few and far between that I show anybody my writing (and I don't have that much of it) Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there

draped gently around her tighten now Her thigh on the carpet A reflex her head tilts back her neck I taste it once Eyes close breasts expand with breath stomach tremors under a kiss A moments undecided hesitation she gasps an inhaled word | |

Here is one that I have been working on for a while
not quite done yet twenty five cents worth of evening papers you and I, our rose garden the bread the gravy to bend you over this dining room table watch your ass grind beside the mashed potato But how should I presume when breakfast moves so sweetly from toast to jam coffee never tea Today the boss appreciates me The last project; yes the new one damn maybe the team should go for drinks? cigars? your light is on in our bedroom at the top of the stairs your reading I’m busy not watching television and I know what’s going on down main street tonight what do you mean a slash? You straddle shit baby I ain’t never fucked a woman that can pee standing up Turn the tv off and I go to bed I ask you once and you shake your head work is sour and I mow the grass the car needs oil wash and wax (somehow the cell phone number for the new receptionist is missing) My hands are shaking I want to put a finger in your mouth I need to feel your lips move weeding the flower bed might help explain how I got old and afraid of the rain tonight begins anew, All the rules I've come to know from you Busy, maybe saturday theres no music, but theese twin sisters outside the wal-mart six in the afternoon she looks at shoes My hand on her ass while she washes the dishes this time just like a dream later on we both go to sleep Now I'm older than movies, Now I'm wiser than dreams, And I know who's there
