A Politricks-Free Night

Anyone else beside me purposely staying away from the P&R forum and turning off the TV, online news sites and radio tonight?

Um, no. Myself and my harem are glued to the TV, flipping between CNN and MSNBC, and I'm watching 4 websites constantly (cnn.com, komo4.com, electoral-vote.com, michealmoore.com).

Our idea of taking a break will be watching Jon Stewart's coverage at 7pm (PST).

And if I weren't doing this, I'd be sitting around worrying about it. I figure the media is at least serving as a distraction in the meantime. lol shrug

I'll really care tomorrow when I'll read the headlines. Since nothing else will be on TV tonight outside of cable, I'll hang out here for little more. And yes I'll stay far away from th P&R, I'll just read the rambling diatribes.

yeah...kinda. Well I said my two cents in the P&R forum, which probably don't mean a hill of beans over there, since I rarely post there. I just get overwhelmed during major events like this, so I kinda avoid the news/radio. I'll probably check in on it later though, when more votes are in.

It is! It's really depressing.

I'm sad too. 75% of people in a whole bunch of states voting to deny gay people civil rights in their state constitutions is devastating. disbelief

sad edit

If I'd have seen this last night, I'd have said I dunno. This morning, though, it looks as if Ohio has gone red. Either way, torturing myself in front of CNN wouldn't have changed it.

Regardless of who took the White House, is has always been clear to me that the electorate was gonna overwhelmingly vote discrimination against LGBTs into law. So in defiance, I hopped in bed, watched a little Queer Eye, had some tea and read a book called "The Essential Gay Mystics" before going to sleep. biggrin
