I realized that I don't own "The High King" though, so I'm gonna have to get out and buy that one.

that's the only one i don't own either! giggle

i always mean to buy it, but i haven't re-read the other books in that series that i bought years ago, so it's not like there's exactly a great urgency. lol

I recently picked up Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books

I've seen that all over. It looks interesting.

By the way, for all you book lovers out there, Marilynne Robinson, author of the wonderful Housekeeping has her first new novel out in like 20 years!

If you haven't read Housekeeping, you should!

Oh yeah that shit is called Gilead!

I know what you mean. I own many more unread than read books. I haven't stop buying them!!!

It's a pretty serious addiction. If I even walk into a book store, I know I'm doomed. Not unlike walking into a shoe store.
And I'm running out of room to store both shoes and books.

lol You already own more shoes THEN the shoe stor does! lol

I just finished up "David Bowie:Living on the Brink" by George Tremlett.

Just picked up "Mein Kampf" by Hitler.

Thinking about re-reading "The Vampire Lestat" -by Anne Rice

Also working my way through the thirty-one year old "Subliminal Seduction" by Wilson Bryan Key. It's quite the giggle, as psychologists have since proved subliminal messages have no effect on the viewer. An interesting read though, regardless.

They are very good books. I read them at my late teens and I still remember them well, they had a good influence on my thinking.

You all should be reading my novels, "Rage and the City" and "Star", both of which can be found at: www.booksurge.com

Had to put that out there biggrin

You wrote a book? Er, books? That's cool.

Thanks! I wrote them awhile back. Please check them out when you get a chance!

Been shopping around screenplays, my first love. I'm also an advertising copywriter. Did Twinings Tea, stuff like that. Self-publishing is a cool way to get your stuff out there, though everything - advertising it, pushing it to sellers, bookstores, etc. - it's all on you. It's hard work, but worth it to see your stuff in print.

I've got a s**tload of poetry stuff - I'm thinking about publishing a book of those. Poetry doesn't really sell, though. Not unless you're Jewel confused
