Old Skool day I have been in a total old skool mood today. So lets hear it for the following, cause without them music would not be what it is today.

If music today is what it is because of them, then we should run them down with our cars.

You just hated on some of the biggest music pioneers in history, especailly in the world of hip hop. Maybe you should be ran over by the car

They are to big of influences to say that they had nothing to do with it.

Cool thread.
Always gotta pay respect to the artists who paved the way and influenced the next. Curtis Blow and Sugarhill Gang come to mind too-hell even Blondie for exposing rap to a wider, more mainstream audience. I have a feeling this'll get moved to Music: Non Prince. Jam Master Jay

Gotta say I'm always impressed with the human databases around here-I miss that from people. Nobody seems to have remotely the same love and outspoken appreciation as the Org folks.

Oh I really enjoy it over there-great stuff-much better than being scared by the uberfams in Prince: Music. I really don't need to know what size underwear Prince wore when he performed the rarest most obscure cover of a cereal commercial jingle. Hey, maybe its me. I consider myself a big Prince fan-but I've gotta draw the line somewhere. Just not as interested in anything other than the music with the man, you know? Prince: Non is probably my favorite section besides this of course-really shows the musical education without the Fatal Attraction-esque obsession.
