Contacts Anyone wears contacts or ever wore them? How do they feel, had any bad experiences. I'm thinking about trying them, but I don't want it to roll back into my head. I think you can die from that

I once had contacts....
I went out one night...had one over the eight...Fell asleep with them in .. ....and ended up in hospital to have them removed.. ....I had my eyes bandaged up for 3 days ....But I believe they have improved some since then

I have soft contacts and never had any problems... Ocassionaly I fall asleep with the things in (kinda annoying and flow spoiling to get them out while you're about to get laid...) But the next morning they're just extremely dry and pretty irritating to get out and once they're out my eyes are reddish and itchy for about half an hour... After that it's all good... Neversin. I'm afraid to ask, but tell what happened when you woke up. It's a while ago now....but I seem to recall my eyes itching like hell ...so I rubbed em making it worse..... The lenses had stuck to my eye balls and I couldn't budge em.... I was advised by the optician to go to hospital as there was a risk of microscopic pieces of my eye ball coming away... It hurt like hell afterwards...and I had a sore head for ages...as with my eyes being bandaged .... ....I couldn't see where I was going ..

I just got contacts in March, and I really like them. It took me a little bit of time to learn how to put them in quickly, but now it's a piece of cake. Also, I could wear them comfortably all day almost immediately, but in regard to vision, my eyes had to adjust a bit. It's kind of like getting a new prescription for your glasses. Since they are soft lense contacts that expire every month, I order a six month supply. My contacts are not the extended wear, so I can't sleep in them. Other considerations would be the extra expense for cleaning solution and wetting solution, needed on a daily basis to disinfect and restore your contacts. Also it is a little bit of a hassle to wash your hands with anti-bac soap before putting the contacts in and taking them out. Finally, I updated my perscription for my glasses just in case my eyes become irritated due to allergies or maybe even an abrasion, and I can't wear my contacts. All in all, contacts were are good investment for me because having them "freed" me relying on glasses. They are a little more expensive than wearing glasses, but at this point the extra cost is well worth it.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about hard contacts that's why I settled for soft ones, I knew a girl ones who fell asleep with hard contacts and like with you the next morning was a drama... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I wear contacts all the time. I would suggest the disposable ones...you have less of a chance of developing an infection from them.
I really like them | |

hiya
i've worn contacts for about - eh, 12 years now. originally on permanent (don't think they had disposables back then), but now on daily disposable. honestly, unlucky7, they're the easiest thing in the world, and i've never had a problem. like neversin mentioned, i quite often fall asleep with mine in by accident and although this isn't good for your eyes, frankly it's not that big a deal except for a bit of eye soreness. and anyway, falling asleep with them in is just my laziness really - i'm sure you'd do better.

I am wearing hard contacts since I was 10 (that's 27 years ) and I never ever had any problems. I once fell asleep and had forgotten to take them out and when I went to toilet in the middle of the night my one eye was hurting and so I was rubbing it and lost the lens without noticing. In the morning I found it and the other one in my second eye With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! I wasn't suggesting contacts are bad.....they are comfortable...once used to them.....
....It was my carelesness which caused my problem...otherwise they were pretty much ok..... .....Just be careful when wearing them...and if possible avoid the harder variety

There are more infections with soft lenses than with hard ones. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! I guess the problem with hard contacts is that not everyone really can wear them, it depends on your eyes. And sure you should never ever wear them while you are sleeping With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! Just the other day I tore my last contact, I immediately looked for my prescription and when I found it I realized it has expired last month. I was like NOOOOO, so I manipulated the expiration date from a 9-4-04 to a 12-4-04, I couldn't imagine having to make an appointment (the time it would take) and then I would be stuck wearing my glasses to work, no fareekin way!!! I think I am going to take a shower put my eyes in... and take that beautiful walk out to nature, picture time. Beautiful day... what a gift to be able to see, don't take it for granted... one day the ability may fade.
