after reading the answers on the "have you ever seen a real life fight" thread, i was SHOCKED to read about your schools i mean really.. what the hell kinda place did you guys go to school ????

We had that too, but most of the students were busy beating on each other, and the security guards. The teachers had other, more important problems; a teacher blowing the dean in his office, a teacher pulling a knife on his students, a pedophile teacher arrest (in the middle of class), the assistant principal being arrested for selling crack .

LMAO! Your school sounds wicked...ah good days. We had a student stab a teacher in maths class which I didn't see unfortunately. Although un fight related, another funny episode was that we had this 'phantom shitter' going around secretly taking shits in various rooms of the school. Eventually one evening, it was a SUPPLY TEACHER who got caught in the canteen with his trousers round his ankles by a caretaker. True story

I've been in a few fights, and I've seen dozens of fights, bias attacks, gang fights, and a shooting (and I'm only 16). Just a week ago two girls ran in front of me in the hallway and started hitting each other. A group gathered around, and I was really close, just about two feet from them, but I couldn't break them up cause I would have gotten hurt. One girl slammed the other one's head into the wall repeatedly and it took about 8 minutes for security to come. When they got there the girl (who's head had been slammed into the wall), was unconscious. She died of head injuries 2 days later. But my Junior High was worse, I saw a couple of stabbings there.

i mean REALLY .... is this shit true ????? how sad is it that kids have to be in that kind of environment and then we as parents expect them to LEARN

i tell ya one thing, where i went to school, this shit wouldnt have lasted 5 minutes there was no freakin way that would have happened, and i am disturbed beyond words that there are actually schools out there like that.

its amazing to me that you guys even came out close to normal was anyone else's school as boring as mine ?? strict, no games, no weapons, no drugs policy ????? anyone ??? help me out here.... im disturbed now

Right here, but that was only because I went to a Catholic grade school. But the kids could be mean, if you were different than they were, they would pick on you mercilessly.

Yes, I've witnessed these types of things and have fought in school up until college

Whereas now, I am working in inner city elmentary schools and junior highs. I pretty much almost see it all b/c violence towards teachers and weapons aren't nothing new where I work. When I step in a classroom, I encounter students who are on house arrest and probation. Allot of times teachers are w/out any support from school secuirty(who are understaffed), or principals ( some who are mostly crooked or overworked) so pretty I take me life in my own hands by working there.

Lord knows, I have been assalted by students on some occasions and been lucky to not get injured serverly (unlike some teachers and security staff). Fortuanately, I have been trained in crisis prevention and know what different
drastic interventions are recquired to de-esculated the situation may it require conseuling a student on the spot or restraits in a worse case senario.
