Minneapolis--should I?

Should I move to Minnie and go to grad school there? I visited once but was wondering what it's like daily to live there?

I love it here too. No matter where I go, I know I will always be back here. The people rock. It seems to have all of the advantages of a large metropolitan city (art, music, culture, fabulous restaurants, fairly diverse population, etc.) yet is small enough that the problems inherent in a large city (crime, general cleanliness, etc.) are very small comparatively.
We were named the most fun city, the best city for sleep, and often make it towards the top of lists of best city for education, working moms, families, our unemployment rate is usually one of the lowest in the country, all sorts o' stuff.

u were always high on the list for low crime. thats what Im most concerned about
But the weather and my mom mad kept me from moving there

I can't speak from experience, but if you have the chance, go! I desperately want to go to college in Minneapolis, but I don't have the grades to get in anywhere. neutral

MrJoker

If you can't stand the cold and snow, then Minnesota isn't a great choice. confused

That's the reality of the situation.

If you can take the weather, though, Minnesota rocks! biggrin

I am going to be getting my Master's in Psychology. There are two smaller schools that offer it: Metropolitan (sp?) State and Argosy University. I am from Indiana so I can take the snow...that is if it is worth it. I would be moving there all alone though and am a single white female so the low crime rate is VERY GOOD news!
