Sometimes late at night...

...when I am putting out the garbage, I breathe in the fresh night air and think I would just like to run away and never come back.

but where to? Nowhere is as nice as right here.

Then I think maybe everyone else should run away instead, and leave me to have a moment's peace.

but I would miss them all SO MUCH it hurts to even think about it.

Once I've taken that deep breath and had a moment of peace (out there next to the wheelie bins), I can turn around and bravely go back inside and FACE THE MAYHEM.

That is tough sweetheart, I helped to nurse my grandfather through Alzheimers and it was a massively draining experience but one I would never change.
I miss him terribly even though it is 7 years now since he fell asleep.
I know what you are going through pray for you and your family hug

Love you grandad stay well wherever you are pray

For a VERY long time I lived with that exact feeling. nod

Thankfully I'm happier now. rose
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I'm glad. Don't get me wrong though, I am not UNhappy, it's just this fleeting feeling, I don't live with it. There are so many other things to fill my life too, I don't feel "trapped" being a mother, thank goodness - but the noise of 3 under 4 takes it's toll on my sanity (and my ears) at times! biggrin
