I hope ya got it taken care of! someone out there in mpls is having a good time chomping gum into the damn phone for free. seriously - i hadda buy a new phone when i came back home, but i was able to suspend my cell phone account before anyone could mess with it. it's very sweet of you to remember my little drama - we were having so much fun, though, that i figured i wouldn't stress about it till i got back to chicago.

That is soooo not cool, but at least you fixed it so that the idiot who stole your phone could not use it. The burglar had instant karma thrown right back in his/her face, he/she got what they deserved. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Overall: What most did not see was how hard Carrie and Darrin were working on the side... Each morning a early call came to coordinate the day and check who was managing whom and what...Often they side lined and reviewed all things.... It was amazing.... I am forever grateful!
Thanks to everyone for trusting me to get right up in yer faces. Its hard to have a camera that close but in my experience it renders a pic with better soul quality..... I love face shots better then anything else in photography. I could not have put together a better group had I tried! Each and every person fit like a glove and brought their own special ingredient to the mix. I wouldn't change a thing. Though it wasn't a weekend where we sat an soul searched, we did seem to find that element without effort. I have traveled and met wonderful people all over but NEVER have I had such a heart wrenching experience as I did saying good-bye to this group. Carrie: Your spirit is gentle. You give of yourself completely and that without expecting anything in return. Your beautiful beyond compare. Thank you for sharing your home and Kitty with me. Thank you most of all for sharing all you are... I love you my twin. Darrin: I am sorry I didn't say good-bye. I just couldn't do it anymore. You are genuine and warm. Thanks for sharing your life and home with me you touched me deeply. Dinner at your home was the perfect beginning to our 4 day adventure. I especially loved the Endo...anx..Muse trio moments ... that according to my camera were numerous! Denny: LAbound my friend! I am so glad to have had the honor of knowing you. I drew into you at once! You rock my world..... What a beautiful couple you and Darrin are. Thank you for sharing your home with me. I am mailing you one of my ugly shoes as a momento of our moment... Shawna: When I spun around in the record store and caught your eye I knew just how deep you really were. Off and on over the weekend I caught your eye and knew there was a whole lot of deep soul in there. You are amazingly funny and witty. Thanks for existing! Your stuck with me now! Deja: Only 23 and yet wise as the day is long.... another one where something in the eye tells of deep beauty.... I am so glad I got to meet you! Chris: You have the most amazing eyes. I was truly entranced by your nature. You struck me the deepest. Don't know how just that there it was. Something about the ease with which you walked with one hand in your pocket and those eyes and that smile. ...I loved just watching you ponder deeply and then utter from the depth of your intellect you are so fucking banned! etc..... Beyond that silliness, you are capable of conveying a great many thoughts without words! Dan: I truly enjoyed our time together. Your pace calms me and causes me to be still. If only for a moment! I hope to meet again. Valerie: I had so much fun with you! Glad we carved out a lot of talk time. You are to cool. We share a lot in existence. See you in Holland! PS rumor has it, it was you who drew up the banned sign! and to thing that happened BEFORE the patio set! Matt and Melissa: What a duo. I loved how Matt knew where you were and the two of you extended a touch often.... You are both amazingly brilliant. Thanks for the shared laughs and real moments. I have one thing more to say "they" "them" *cough* issues! Gretchen: You are too sweet with a laugh that invites everyone else in. Thanks for being sober and recording every delirious moment! ( You are better then memorex) I loved the T and the laminetes Ivy: Woman you are warm and deep and real as they come! Give your babies a big hug for me. You got a hug that the world is warmed by. Erin: You are one perfect package! I nominate you for best everything. Taking it deeper I see how you make sure all are comfortable and content. You don't miss a stray moment. This is a beautiful thing. Lovemachine and Amy: loved sharing the evening at the kitty cat.... Hope to see you more in the future! Paisley4: Sweet as could be! Wish we would have had more time.... Hobbes!!! You are to funny....

how many days later and I'm all teary AGAIN. I had "I'm Going To Miss Minneapolis" stuck in my head while getting ready this morning *sigh* I also had visions of trying to coordinate our departure from First Ave AFTER we found Muse only to get outside and see her wandering off accross the street. The 2 shots of FirstAve that she got were worth it though! ~ Gretch memorex edit [Edited 10/27/04 5:42am]

Do I just really have no life and this is incredibly pathetic, or does it totally make sense? I don't fucking know. Part of my gig is that my life feels really hard for some really complicated reasons right now, and part of the joy of mpls was pure escape. But I really don't think that's all there is to it. It makes total sense... I was just contemplating how I have more and BETTER friends from here on the Org than I do "in the real world". I mean I love my nearby friends dearly, but it's just not the same...is that pathetic? I dunno

Holland will be SWAMPED by Orgers. And we trample xenophobes. And Pascal and Angelo and you...well, you know where you can stick it. Anyways. WHO ARE YOU? We know WHAT you are, but who ARE you? Eh, well. You're not alone in these thoughts, M. I got real depressed when I got back to Chicago. I'm shaking it off now, but I got real down in the dumps. It wasn't so much an escape, but a time to be with some of the people that I love and love me most. I talk a lot about you guys to my 'real world' friends and family but the love I feel for you all is definately real and the fact that it translated away from the cyberworld made Minni so overwhelming for me. Sometimes you meet people from here and you don't click but when you do, it's an amazing thing. Maybe we all should have stayed for a week, just enough time to get on each other's nerves.

y'all are making me feel much better about the sadness I've been feeling. It was agony to bring Anx to the airport and know that it really was ALL OVER. I got home and it was empty and felt so damn lonely. I was just a wreck But, I got a couple reassuring comments from coworkers today. With one, I was showing pictures and telling stories and she said "Wow, you really love these people, don't you? You are so lucky." And I remembered, yes I am lucky to have met you all. Then another person "Over? It isn't over. If there's anything I've learned about you and your Prince crew is that it's never over." And that person is right. Course, I'd feel better if I knew when we'd be together again. I just have to go with faith that it WILL.
