Moderator | LOST!!! So Dad's a zombie now?
I didn't like it the first two episodes but now I'm hooked! I so need to figure this shit out! Any theories? In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I've heard a theory that it's all in the little boy's imagination but I don't like that one. I personally don't have any yet. This is my new favorite tv show and boy does an hour go fast. -Dean is the cheese to my macaroni-

My own personal theory is that the island manifests their desires. Jack wants to see his dad alive, and he did. The Stepfather (the Terry O'Quinn character, can't recall his name) wanted to be able to walk again, and he can. We'll see as it develops, I guess. I was kinda bored with the second and third episode, but it's getting better.

I was thinking that too! Or that they are dead in some sort of limbo. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I was thinking that too! Or that they are dead in some sort of limbo. I didn't think of that. I sort of think that the island has special powers in and of itself...like healing abilities. Now if the dad is alive, what about the other people that might have died? Wouldn't they be living too? ANd what's with the doll arrangements? There's also other things that are wierd too, like the polar bears. You'd think that with that many people...a few would be picked off by now. Though I have to remind myself...it's a "family" show due to it's time slot. Can't have anyone dying all the time ala "24". Christian Zombie Vampires

That has been done already. NBC ended St. Elsewhere in 1988 by showing everyone that the all 6 seasons had taken place in the Mind of an autistic child playing with a snow globe that had the St. Eligius building in it.....

Yes, it was a dream. However, many (including me) consider the ending for Newhart to be a classic television moment. To incorporate the cast from his old show was a brilliant piece of work. The "dream" premise on Newhart was also supposed to mock that whole season of Dallas where Bobby (Patrick Duffy) was dead. Come to find out during the first scene of the next season that his wife had dreamt that entire season.
