Are men intimidated by women with higher forms of education?

I listen to this talk radio show "Love, Lust and Lies" and this was the topic today:

"Are men intimidated by women with a higher level of education then themselves, and if you are a woman with a degree or two, would you/do you date men who never attended college?"

I have my Bachelors in Special Education/Psychology and I plan on entering grad school soon to peruse a Masters in Psychology and or Education, but I have never dated anyone with a degree higher than an Associates. I guess I never thought about it. shrug but,I did have an ex tell me he was jealous of my university education.

I wonder what you guys honestly think.

No they don't! Only fools that like to "feel" that they are better than their partner would think like that. If the woman is making more money.....good on her! I sometimes worry about the attitude of some woman that feel that the man has to earn the money.

I took it back and said "Most men"

It's not an issue for me either, it seems I'm always the one who makes more money, the only thing about it that bugs me is sometimes I want to go places and do things with my partner and can't because they don't have enough money.

That problem works both ways. I go with the attitude that if it's something that I wanted to do and I have the money for it....then I'll pay.

Exactly...I've never had that mindset of "who pays?"...I always just assume I'm paying, no matter what...if we're involved and she makes more than I do, then I hardly care if she pays or not lol...But I do love being the one who provides everything for an evening out, or a weekend away nod...I don't want her to have to think about anything other than joining me.

I want a smart, educated girl who uses her brains and can succeed and wants to be independent. It means she will only love me for me.

I hate all these sexist remarks. "Men are bunk bitches". And none of this "most" nonsense. "Most" is still a generalization.

Fuck it. I get so mad when I hear these generalizations, like men are a bunch of snivelling assholes who have their heads stuck so far up their asses that they don't believe everyone should have the same opportunities to succeed.

Actually, on the show today they said that women enrolled in college in the school year 2003- 2004 outnumbered men enrolled in college in the same year by 36%

African American men were outnumbered 3 to 1 by african American women enrolled last school year.

And traditionally women recieve better grades than men.

I always want to split stuff, or take turns paying.

But ok, for example, I would REALLY love to go to the Bahamas in March. I can afford it, but Pill can't. I can't afford to pay for us both, so I can't go, well at least not with my partner. That's what i meant by not having enough money.
