I recently saw this program where they hypnotized this lady before birth so she would feel less pain. It kinda worked.

My girlfriend's mum delivered my girlfriend by caesarian without enough medication. The whole time she could feel them cutting into her.

I watched my sister in labor with her first child and well, it looked a tad...uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable, in fact, I have even seen women vomit during labor. Thank God for pain meds, don't think I would survive without them. yeah, i puked a little during labor too. it actually helps with the pushing! next time you're losing your lunch notice how everything pushes down.

no, hans you are not able to pull a child via suction.
not even with a plunger.

i was in the whirlpool for a bit. it didn't help with the pain any, but it helped me relax more in between contractions so i dilated faster.

You'll forget the pain when you hold your precious baby in your arms if you are holding another woman's child, is this also as precious? i find it only causes confusion.

You'll forget the pain when you hold your precious baby in your arms well, almost. the doctor was still poking around on me for a while. but i remember no pain now! i think most women must completely forget the pain of childbirth, otherwise the human race would've died out a looooong time ago!

I give that woman mad props, because I'm a woman myself, and I know at the first stab of pain, I would be hollering out for meds. I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to pain, and I would want to be as comfortable as possible.
Done it 3 times. Labour pains are natural. The body is just trying to push the baby out. Natures way. My third child was a 2 1/2 hour labour - quick! Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! My friend went without drugs for her first child. She had always had such bad menstrual cramps that she said labor wasn't that bad! But her second child she got an epidural and said she felt nothing! She's tough as nails anyway.
If I ever have a baby, drugs alllll the way! Hell I may pop percocets before I get to the hospital...

It hurt so bad I couldn't even cry. However, when you're given the go-ahead to push, it is bliss! I have horrible, horrible "giving birth" stories with my two kids... awful, awful, awful... but, I'd love to do it again! I have a very high tolerance to pain, and giving birth was bad, but I never passed out from the pain. I did, however, pass out from a cyst rupturing because my body went into shock from the pain... go figure. You'd think it'd be the other way around!

I delivered all three of my babies without any pain meds!! I was SO mad because I wanted them.
My first baby took only 4 and 1/2 hours, the second a little over an hour, and the third 45 minutes with only 2 pushes.

I just delivered a baby with a 2 liter Diet Pepsi and a side order of breadsticks. The customer didn't ask for meds. *****************************************
