Have You or Anybody You Know Ever Delivered a Baby Without Meds?

Just got through watching "A Baby Story" on TLC, and they showed a woman delivering a baby with no epidural or no pain meds. I give that woman mad props, because I'm a woman myself, and I know at the first stab of pain, I would be hollering out for meds. I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to pain, and I would want to be as comfortable as possible. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

With my first son I had nooooo pain meds(boy was I crazy). They gave me something to sleep in between contractions but nothing for the pain. And to top it all off I was on pictocin which make the contractions come faster and stronger then normal. Crazy me did that the second time. But the third and fourth time I was asking for an epidural. Thank God for pain meds lol

A friend of mine had such quick deliveries that she didn't have time to get epidural or anything else. Luckily all the birth-givings were so quick, she didn't have to suffer long but once she said she remembers just some flashing moments.

thumbs up!

au naturel!

most mom's hate me though. my first (and only) child, and i was only in labor 7 hours, and only pushed 27 minutes. for the first 3 hours i didn't feel any pain at all. in fact, i was determined to play solitaire thru the contractions!! believe me, that didn't last long. but all in all, it wasn't that bad.

ok, yes it was. i can't imagine the moms doing it for 30+ hours.

My wife had our daughter without any medication.
We arrived at the hospital at 9 am and Leah was born at 1159am.
No time for meds.

1st = 36 hr labor ended with me flatlining 3 times from blood loss ... killer experience in the beyond world while i was there

2dn= spent most the day laying on my belly pulling electrical wires through the floors of our house, stopping and breathing between contractions ...

in hospital labor w/ 2nd... bout 6 hrs

nod Very uncomfortable, in fact, I have even seen women vomit during labor. ill Thank God for pain meds, don't think I would survive without them.

I started off with meds but because I wasn't pushing correctly, they let them wear off so I ended up delivering with no meds.

If I had her when I had some sense, I would have gotten a mid wife and delivered her differently. I think laying on your back is the worst position....
