True. The proper word should be "carcass".

When that someone is a nice someone (who likes bacon) you could ask em why they think bacon is so important. Bacon and Steak are actually my two vices, they are the two meats that you can't really substitute, for example.

I have never had that feeling, although I would probably give a bit of human meat a go if i was offered under the right circumstances. I will try anything once, life is too short.

In addition to an itty bit I posted earlier, i'd just like to say, that I really appreciate da different pointz of view from both sidez.

If I had 2 explain my own issue with meat, i would hate to think it was due to any kind of ignorance as such. Not dat anyone was sayin dat lol just pointin it out, cause i realise my reason is a bit different to everyone here perhapz hmmm

Mine is psychological...but partially genetic. I've found out that I have aunts who to this day can't stand to touch meat, then gotta get someone else to touch it while they're cooking it if desperate!! But for myself, my senses go crazy knowing whatever the cooked meat once was. When i think about it (which is inevitably alwayz the case)my mind goes to the market...then the slaughter house...then the farm...and then my tastebudz start to emphasise all the "meat" part of what i'm eating (i'm talkin lean mince beef in my case cause dat'z one of da only red meatz i'll just about barely touch)...n then i'm chewin on it...thinkin of the slaughtering again..and then da next thing u know, i can't eat my meal lol When i was a lil gal, and i kid u not, i literally had nightmares about raw meat and meat markets and strange people forcin me to eat raw meat ill ...so it's been my attitude toward this particular part of da human diet to just avoid it where i can! nod

I guess no one really needed 2 know all dat redface But hey, i figured i'd put my extra two bitz in too.
No hablo espanol,no! no no no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... nod

Can you feel sorry for animals being "murdered" and then vote for the reason of thousands of human deaths?

Cannibalism? Can we please focus more on treating human life with respect? Jesus.

From a biological (scientific) standpoint, our bodies have many enzymes designed to digest meat and meat products, but very little to cope with digesting vegetables. Our bodies are designed to consume and gain nutrients from meat.

The only bad thing I think about mass production of meat is how smelly cow farts are destroying our ozone layer.

I never said you didn't have respect for human life. I just happen to think human life is more important. there are some extreme animal rights people out there that amke comparisons to the two and there is no comparioson for me. There is also a matter of respecting peoples' choices and not calling what they do with their own bodies 'sick'.

not that i agree with the "cannibalism" sentiment, but what's wrong with treating all life with as much equal respect as possible?

i can think of many animals that have made my life a better place to be. i can think of many people who have made my life a worse place to be. i think of life as an energy, not a popularity contest. i don't wish death on anything or anyone. i may not live a 100% ethical, "cruelty-free" life, but i strive to do so.

do i think humans are "more important" than animals or vice versa?

i think LIFE is important. period.

however that sentiment resonates for any given individual, i think it's what it all comes down to.
