Drumming / Drum Circles

Every friday night downtown Asheville... there is this great outdoor drumming circle where ya can drum and dance in the center of town ...

so ...

who here @ the Org. drums ?

or at least dances at a drumming circle ?

i LOVE dancing in drum circles. bow i am in my element there. i feel centered there.

i havent been to a good circle in a long time. last year i guess at halloween was the last time. oh...thats a lie..giggle i danced in the circle at the renfest this year a couple months ago....nod i would love to find a circle to attend more frequently.

what Ren fare ?

my youngest daughter has been belly dancing since she was 6 ( now 13 ) so we have been to many many drumming events

i think bellydancing would be soo fun. it would take a lot of courage for me, but i think it would build my confidence. all the dancers always look so beautiful love

thats exactly why ( one reason ) i did it for my daughter ... surrounded by powerful women who are comfortable IN their bodys ... no matter the shape

she doesnt do the american "hollywood" style dance but tradtional middle eastern dance styles

it SO rocks !! you should TRY it !!

The best drum circles I've ever been involved in take place in Barcelona at the Parc de Citadel on Sundays. Police could give a shit. Lots of herb and beer to be found if you so desire. Lots of cool people...
