I live in Vallejo California... about 35 minutes from San Francisco
What I Love -the weather -the people, extremely diverse. Youre exposed to almost everythin in the Bay area. Almost nothing will suprise you if your born and raised here. -the location. Two hours to the snow, one hour to the beach. What I Dislike -the cost of living. I cannot afford to buy a house on my own. Nothing is less than $300,000 for a 1bd/1ba 600sq ft shack, and I live in one of the least expensive counties. That sh@@t is pure craziness.

Pine Island, MN
Love: -Somewhat close to Minneapolis -Close to Rochester -Cheaper to live here than either of the forementioned cities -Great small town with a good school -My house has a GREAT view of the surrounding area -The Mississippi River is only a half hour away (GREAT scenery there!) Hate: -The town has too many bottlenecked areas (i.e. only ONE way to get into the main part of town unless you go out of your way by 10 miles) -Needs a Dairy Queen or McDonald's of its own -The city road crews are really slow to get their construction done Overall, I like it.

Can I play even if I'm in Canada?
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Likes: -the four seasons (fall is beautifull, lots of green space with multicolored leafs) -Cost of living is decent -relatively safe place to live/raise a family Hates: -Winter is too long and cold -shit salaries -limited job opportunities -People are a bit conservative here, Ottawa being the Capital & all that

Psycho, you said it: CLEVELAND BITES!!!! Where should I start?
* Cleveland is consistently among the nations Top 10 most segregated cities. * Bad Environment: The weather is awful / One of North America's gloomiest cities/ our river -- our WATER -- caught on fire!!! That's how polluted they allowed the city to get! * Poor public transportation: Rude, dangerous bus drivers/ no subway and only three train routes (two of which service the SAME suburb!) * Undeveloped lakefront: Access is about 55% private residential, 30% private industrial, and the public beaches, with only about 2 exceptions, are swimming in filth * No economic vision: Cleveland is one of few major cities wherein suburban real estate is more expensive than the city's. But still residents choose the burbs for better schools and services, less crime, better housing stock, better shopping; businesses choose the burbs for better tax incentives, which the city should be able to blow out of the water! Businesses and are leaving the city in droves, causing unchecked suburban sprawl and a dying metropolitan core. * Our medical facilities are world-renowned, but the two premier ones are given free reign to buy up everything in our midtown area, displacing other business and residents. * No culture: Museums are fair, but underpublicized. We have a TINY theatre district. Restaurants can't survive. We have a weak local music scene. Cool, old ethnic or Bohemian neighborhoods are being gentrified by yuppies who make them sterile caricatures of what they used to be, and the people who gave these areas personality are being displaced. * Poor infrastructure: Ohio has some of the worst roads in the country, and Cleveland specifically has awful municipal facilties. The classic architecture here is foresaken (we board up and eventually tear down our great older buildings, except recently there is a trend of converting old warehouses into apartment space that no one either wants or can afford). Our convention center and airport are outdated. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has to have the big events in New York, because we can't support them. * Ohio is losing jobs by the boatload. Need I say more? I only stay here because my wife is so attached to her parents, and they are too comfortable to leave. ...Oh, and I forgot another reason: Clevelanders suffer from major inferiority complex: They either readily admit the city sucks, or they break their necks trying to find tiny redeemable things about it or acting unjustifiably snobbish as if to illustrate that despite this town sucking, they're still "posh." Oakland, Ca.
Likes: - You can see the bay from the deck on my house. - Weather. - I grew up in the Bay Area so it's "home". - NO SMOKING in bars! Yay! - There's always something to do (mountains, casinos, camping, street fairs, etc, you name it, it's probably witin driving distance). Dislike: - While we're "close" to the mountains, I lived in Boulder, Co for 5 years and went snowboarding 30 times a season....it's tough to do that where I am now.... - Too many damn people - Expensive (housing, gas, etc, etc)

I live in Tampa, FL. It is one of my favorite cities in the world. I am not native to Tampa though I've lived here 8 years now and have no intentions of moving unless I can find a loft in South Beach, Miami. It is simply paradise here and I can't imagine myself living anywhere where Disney isn't in my backyard, or the beaches aren't nearby, or that has to deal with real wheather. Tampa is the tops. Good Things: 1) Climate. Very mild winters 2) Sugar white sandy beaches 3) It is the most racially integrated city in AMerica of it's size (approx. 2 million metro & surrounding) 4) Ybor City (cuban version of the french quarter) 5) Sexy Sexy ladies on Bay Shore Drive's 7 mile unbroken waterside sidewalk. 6) Gaspirilla parade 7) Guavaween 8) 1 hour from Disney world 9) 3.5 hours from Miami 10) Safe property value. YOur property goes up quickly in value. 11) Good job climate 12) Very diverse age demographics Bad Things 1) Mosquitos 2) Traffic - Our highways are all being upgraded, but years too late

i'm in chicago
chicagoans love chicago, but sometimes we get tired of it because their are a lot of people that hate on eachother. when a person is doing good, they get jealous. i love that i can take the "L" anywhere and do so much stuff. if your broke, its easy to find something to do without having to spend a dime. their are a lot of progams and a lot of things to see, especially in the summer time. the bad thing is that their are gangs everywhere-even in the gold coast area where most of the rich people live. the weather is crazy. one day it was 80 degrees and like the next two hours it dropped to maybe 50 degrees and yes the wind can knock you down. when it's cold, it's really cold and when its hot its really hot. one thing when i go outta town to get away from chicago, i can't wait to go back. another thing is that it's getting real expensive in chicago. cigarettes are 6-7 dollars in some stores and no less than 5.10 in all the others. but i don't smoke. and milk will soon be 4 bucks. maybe its the same in other places but thats pretty steep to me.
