So, with not working and such I've been feeling sort of down lately. I was at the drugstore yesterday and decided to get a highlighting kit (something I never do because my sister is a hairdresser and I know how to do professional-type foil highlights)
So...this kit is supposed to give me "warm copper highlights" and I did it as the directions said...and, well, I ended up with light-orange, bride of frankenstein type strips in my hair!!! It was horrible! I looked like a tortoise-shell cat!

So, I called my sister in Florida in a panic and she told me how to "fix" what I did...
I now have red hair...although, in a few weeks (once my hair and scalp heal up a bit) I'm going to try again for my natural color...
I'm feeling a little insecure about it.
What do you guys think?

I do sympathise with u. I keep dying my hair 'blonde' only for it to go a completely unnatural looking orangey-gold. Yet, everytime I cut it and my colour is back to normal it looks so dull and boring in comparison so I go and do it again. It only looks better after a little sun.

Really, it looks ok. And u still have nice eyebrows.

I really can't believe that my hair picked up this much red! When I redid it I used 3.75 ounces of light brown and .25 ounces of light auburn with 10 vol developer. I'm glad I didn't use any more red!

Nah, I know how it goes when your hair turns out completely different than what you wanted. And from the pic it looks nice and healthy and shiny and such. Have fun with it for a while. I'm guessing in a day or 2 you'll feel much differently about it.

I think it looks really nice.. RED is suppose to be very hot for fall and winter... so you will fit right in. I went from being blonde to being brunette again.. gotta say, it WAS A CHANGE but... after a few days, it grows on you. IF You really hate it that much, you can always go and buy a semi-perm. dye to do something a little more brown.. it is less harsh to your hair and will wash out, right around the time the red is coming out....

In any case, I like it... Work it darlin!
