My furnace broke on Friday and my landlord came and turned it off because it was a fire hazzard.

This is the coldest weekend of the season (getting down to upper 30s tonight) and I'm sooooo cold!

How awful!! How long will it be until it gets fixed? Do you or someone you know have a space heater that you could borrow for the time being? They work pretty well at keeping you warm. I hope your problem gets fixed soon!

Thanks, hon. I don't know anyone with a space heater, but, I've turned on the oven and will leave it on til bedtime and I've put the heating pad in the bed and will turn it off when I go to sleep.
The furnace guys will come tomorrow (hopefully) and it's supposed to get warmer this week.

Body heat always helps.

I say keep the heating pad on low instead of turning it off. you don't want to wake up in the morning all frozen up.

I think the landlord should've made sure you had some kind of temporary heating until it's fixed. leaving you freezing to death is not very nice
