I can't decide if I want to see it. It seems strangely amusing though.

I would see it, If South Park had been even remotely funny the last three seasons or so. Personally, I think Parker and Stone have run out of ideas, and I can't stomach the idea of sitting through an entire film with their current idea of "humour".

yegads man! I love the last three seasons of South Park. It's become a wonderful joke of itself.

The metrosexual show, Awesom-O, Passion of the Jew, Butters going to Raisins (Hooters for Kids), Oh man, so many classics.

I'm pretty immature I guess. I'm looking forward to Team America though. Matt and Trey are the hardest working people in show business right now.

Seeing it this weekend. SOOOOO cannot wait!

I heard that at one time Matt and Trey were supposed to do a big screen adaptation of "That's My Bush" called "George W. Bush and the Secret of the Glass Tiger."

They REALLY should've made it.

Seriously, it's one of the funniest movies I have EVER seen!

I was almost crying LOUDLY from laughing so much at the vomit scene!!!

And yes, the sex scene was hilarious, too!

Forget what you think about South Park, GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

P.S. The sets and marionette work was amazing, too!

Agreed! I went last night and wasn't too sure about it since I'm not a big South Park fan. It was great! I loved how they walked... that alone pretty much had me laughing.

Seriously, I can't believe that most people on here would like the film, as it is an all-out attack on liberals. They take a few shots at the conservatives (dicks), but they hit the liberals (pussies) about a million times more.

I was glad to see them make Michael Moore into a full-blown terrorist. lol

but you WOULD see it that way.

It was totally unbiased in EITHER direction, which was the point you obviously missed.

There was one glaring attack on conservatives throughout the movie and that lay in Team America itself and their "fuck the world, America rules" ethos which reeks of American conservatism.

Both sides got the pissed pulled out of them fairly and squarely and so they should. It speaks to America's lack of a middle ground...both conservatives and liberals in the U.S. deserve to have the pissed repeatedly pulled out of them as in this movie for being so self-important and BLACK AND WHITE when there are so many grey areas in this world.

No, my fine feathered friend, you don't get it.

Matt and Trey have said that they purposely attacked the liberals because they hate them. The right did get made fun of and rightfully so, but the liberals were the ones who took the massive attack.

Read some interviews with the directors sometime.

"We hate those actors who take themselves so seriously and think they are a productive and important part of society," Parker said.

Mind you, the conservatives (Team America) were bumblers (dicks), but they were bumblers who were doing things to make the world safe, although they destroyed a lot of things in their attempts and didn't seem to care. The liberals (pussies) were basically terrorists (assholes) and they were "only an inch and a half from an asshole." The conservatives did not get killed, while the liberals all died horrible, bloody deaths. This is because Matt and Trey are Libertarians who absolutely HATE liberals; they hate ultra-right-wingers too, but they aren't the targets this time.

Once again, read some interviews.

Bush sucks and they agree with that too.

Seriously though, the South Park guys are basically like me in this (or I am basically like them), in that they believe that the right and the left extremists are basically both stupid assholes. This movie, however takes aim at the self-important Hollywood assholes more than it does that the ultra-right-wing assholes.

From an interview:

George Clooney, one of the “limousine liberals” being mocked in the movie, loves you guys — he even played a gay dog on an early episode.
TREY: Yeah. We’re, like, light friends with George. We’ve hung out with George. But the thing is, he was on that list, man — he was on that MoveOn.org. So we weren’t gonna be hypocritical and be, like, “Well, let’s not pick on George. He’s our friend.” We’re like, “Nope — fuck you, George. You went on the news shows, too, and talked about Iraq like you knew what was going on. We’re taking you down, buddy.”

I saw the vomit scene on tv. It was funny and gross at the same time. A friend told be about the "hot puppet sex" scene. We had fun wondering what kind of STDs puppets could get. (Termites?)

Anyway, I ADORE the Thunderbirds, and I LOVE South Park, so this movie is right up my alley. I can't wait to see it.

sounds like we basically agree, mastodon. i realise that the self-important libs are being made a mockery of, but no more than the "dicks" of team america. the message is clear at the end: pussies get fucked by dicks and dicks need pussies to keep them in check sometimes. but anyway, both extremes of left and right are fucked in the head, so on that at least, i believe we ACTUALLY....AGREEE!

But they won't since they became Republicans and more fully aware of who truly controls the media. The movie is a warning to libs and a love letter to Connie from what I've heard and that's pretty much what I expected from day one when hearing "it takes on both sides". Yeah, so does O Reily....or should I say "Oh, Reily!".

VinnyM27 is absolutely not a Republican.

I am absolutely not a Republican, I am a Libertarian.

Matt and Trey are Libertarians, not Republicans.

=====

Trey Parker - Libertarian

Trey Parker is co-creator of the smash cable TV hit "South Park" and the new satirical sitcom "That’s My Bush!" He’s also a libertarian and a member of the Libertarian Party, according to a profile in the April 4, 2001 Los Angeles Times.

Trey Parker and his partner Matt Stone created "South Park" together, and in 1997 Comedy Central began airing it. The show quickly became one of cable TV’s hottest items, averaging 2.3 million viewers. "South Park" was also the basis for a recent hit feature film. Many libertarians say they’ve observed libertarian elements in various episodes of the show.

"That’s My Bush!" is the latest from Parker and Stone. They say they intend the show to be more a satire on sitcoms than political satire, though it does have obvious political elements -- President George W. Bush is the central character.

While discussing politics, Parker told the Times that he is a registered Libertarian. Stone said: "I don't think I'm registered to vote."

From an interview with Matt and Trey:

fuge: are you two guys liberal or conservative? me and my freinds have had debates about this.

Trey: We avoid extremes but we hate liberals more than conservatives and we hate them.

Matt: I hate conservatives but I really fucking hate liberals.
