Back to the original topic, "Sayings with no sense". The one I positively don't like is the one that goes:

If you love something, set it free
If it comes back to you, it's yours
If not, it never was.

WTF? That saying is stupid, really. If you love something, why would you set it free, better yet, why would you even WANT to set it free. Seems to me if you REALLY love something, you would want to hold onto it and cherish it. wacky

I remember once a few members of my family stating that they liked that saying, and me saying, "I don't, it's dumb!" lol

It is dumber than a bag of rocks, if you really stop and think about it.
