Seed of Chucky-Trailer This is a plot and box office prediction I found at boxofficeprophets.com
Seed of Chucky Release Date: November 12, 2004 There is nothing in the world more terrifying than an androgynous doll...unless the doll is the illicit offspring of reputed killer marionettes Chucky and Tiffany. Yes, you will recall that the malevolent duo mated at the end of Bride of Chucky, and that is pretty much all you need to know to get ready for the latest offering in the Child's Play series. For those of you who aren't ready to quit reading yet (why aren't you in line for tickets yet?), here is the rest of the story. Possibly because Mommy and Daddy never got squared away on who wore the pants in the family, Junior's sex is somewhat up in the air. Apparently, moppet mating doesn't guarantee anatomical correctness in the next generation, so the Seed of Chucky is something of a she-male. Imagine if you will a miniature version of Martina Navratilova, and you have the right idea here. The plot is somewhat derivative on the surface as ill-prepared parents are forced to face the difficulties of raising a new baby. That makes it Full House-esque...but with lots of brutal slayings. Gifted director Ronny Yu will not be returning to take a victory lap for the blockbuster success of Bride of Chucky in 1998. After his success in Freddy vs. Jason, this project would be too much of a re-hash. Replacing him is Bride's scribe, Don Mancini, who has long championed this movie even as it has slowly evolved through multiple concepts and multiple studios. Mancini envisions Seed of Chucky to send up films like Kramer vs. Kramer in the same manner that Bride of Chucky was a black comedy horror take on the Bing Crosby/Bob Hope road movies. He has stated that horror film fans will come to equate this piece with Wes Craven's New Nightmare. He seems convinced that the Hollywood setting will go a long way in the providing the perfect backdrop for this tale of an inaminate dysfunctional family of killer parents and their gender-confused offspring. (David Mumpower/BOP) Hobbit Billy Boyd has signed on as the voice of Chucky and Tiffany's spawn. This teams him for a second time with Two Towers co-star Brad Dourif, who played Grima Wormtongue in the second segment of the Lord of the Rings and has provided the voice of Chucky throughout the Child's Play series. I thought that was kinda funny too....when he tried to run over Britney. I thought they would've been a little less obvious about who that certain pop star was. Overall....the whole movie seems corny as hell. But knowing me....I'm still gonna go see it. Chucky's stitches does look horrible and obviously fake.
