Do You Think The Days of Songs Teaching You a New Dance Are Over? You know...
"The Twist" (Chubby Checker) "Mashed Potatos" (?) "The Bird" (The Time) "The Macarena" (Los Del Rio) "The Electric Slide" (?) "Jump" (Kris Kross) "The Humpty Dance" (Digital Underground) "The Hokey Pokey" ( ) (?) I can't think of any others right now... but, do you think there's even more dance-learning-type songs that have a chance? Hmmm.... |

"I don't dance...I just pull up my pants...and do the ROCKAWAY...LEAN BACK, LEAN BACK!" Fat Joe and the Terror Squad Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Oh, remember the Soul Train dance line? We still get that goin' from time to time at certain parties! I don't think there's one particular song that goes to that dance though. |

I have bad experiences with dances.....I did the Oak Tree and poked a kid in his eye.....I did the Wooden Leg and was accused of being too Fred Sanford like in my movements.....I did the Roger Rabbit and they told me maybe I should try the Bugs Bunny....I asked how did that dance go and they said you just go jump in that hole over there.... Some of you orgers are so deceptive.....using my styles like a contraceptive....

"The Humpty Dance" (Digital Underground) That song was my jam! First I limp to the side like my leg was broken Shakin' and twitchin' kinda like I was smokin' Crazy wack funky People say ya look like M.C. Hammer on crack, Humpty That's all right 'cause my body's in motion It's supposed to look like a fit or a convulsion Anyone can play this game This is my dance, y'all, Humpty Hump's my name No two people will do it the same Ya got it down when ya appear to be in pain Humpin', funkin', jumpin', jig around, shakin' ya rump, and when the dude a chump pump points a finger like a stump tell him step off, I'm doin' the Hump. Why hasn't anyone mentioned The Bus Stop?
I won a prize at a disco many years ago for doing the best at this dance. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
