Why do women... ... always have this thing about "Women can do so many things at once"? and... "Men can't do any more than one thing"

Goes back to the cavemen days.....the men go out and hunt, women look after the kids, stay on look out and clean up.....something like that! | |

Well... I saw something on CNN once about a study that was done where men and women were given the same tasks- put them in separate kitchen set-ups and said "microwave this, clean this," etc. and then had the phone ring and the door bell sound while they were doing those tasks. The women proved to be much better at organizing things out (immediately had the food microwaving before they started cleaning, didn't get as flustered about the phone and doorbell, etc.).
Also in studies where men and women are played tape of two voices speaking at the same time, the women retained more of what both voices were saying. [Edited 10/8/04 12:35pm] | |
