So do u eat off the floor Ok Im eating a kit kat and I drop half of one
I almolst died. Half of a kit kat!! I had 3 left but Im not optimistic about my sweets I didnt pick it up and eat it cuz its chocolate and there's probably some unseen particles on it, so I threw it away. But if it was a skittle or a fry I probably would have ate it. ANd....I never eat anything I drop in public...yuck. I saw a coworker eat a chip he dropped in the staff room so tell me what u would eat or wouldnt if u dropped it on the floor "Nobody makes me bleed my own blood...NOBODY!"

The only time i ate anything off the floor was when i dropped an asprin and i was suffering from such a migraine, I picked it up, kissed it to god and took it anyway... The day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom - Anais Nin

I have never heard of kissing it up to God--we always went by the three second rule--under 3 sec. and it is still good. Of course, that is how long it takes for the dog or cat to get to it!
(cept chocolate of course)

I think if I dropped something on my own floor and it didn't have anything I could see on it I would but I'd never eat something i dropped out in public (caveat: unless really really drunk). When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

That's disgusting. I would never eat something I dropped
on the floor. Most likely not even if I dropped it in my own home. You could never possibly be so hungry and so in need of a piece of food or a sweet that you'd risk the intake of many germs and bacteria off the floor for it. However, I do like to save the candy I drop on the floor in a special bag and hand it out to people I hate. I offer them a sweet whilst in my mind I envision: and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

There was a recent study done on the "five-minute rule" of dropping food on the floor. It concluded that it was pretty safe to eat anything off the floor within five minutes of dropping it, as floors are cleaner than we think they are, and generally any particles that attach themselves to the food are harmless. I guess it's just a matter of doing it in public or not.

me neither!!! Me either! I was just gonna ask about that. How do you kiss a piece of food up to God? In any case, it depends on what the food is, where it's dropped and how long it's been on the floor. If it's like a piece of candy or a raw vegetable and it's dropped on my own floor or the floor of a friend I know to be generally clean and I pick it up right away after it's dropped and inspect it I usually call it good to go. If I find it laying there way later, or its on the concrete outside of First Ave, or it's a bite of tuna salad or something, then I throw it away. |
