Yeah..y'all proved his point. I feel the same way too...often, I just don't feel the need to post a thread about it.

I do find the GD board to be lacking in GD and more leaning towards the appreciation threads...even some newbies starting their own...just to get appreciation. There's also a lot of personal stuff that goes on here that makes it cliquey. I suppose that goes with the territory of a borad like this. I do see some threads that are pretty open to all in general.

I dunno I find it hard to appreciate folks I don't know. Many on here don't visit or post to the other forums either...so that's also tough to get to know someone where the topics people talk about are usually "in the know" or appreciation threads.

But for me personally, I click where I want and make friends slowly. I do have a few on here...that I hope I get to keep for while nod ...even offline of here...so the ORGS ALL GOOD FOR ME.

Love you all!

I love prince.org, but only discovered the general discussion forum three or four days ago. What is this place?

I am still puzzled myself

It seems like y'all know each other and it also seems a bit too much like Junior High. I feel like I'm reading the "most likely to get drunk and fuck a bull" and "most likely to get laid and tip a cow" sections of my yearbook, from back in the day. What is this all about? Why all the sickening popularity contests?

well... I think you just answered that

Am I too old for this forum, or are the members of this specific forum too immature for their age?

A little bit of both
prove me wrong

That is very interesting.....I used to have the same thoughts back in the day....I would go to all the forums and read back in my lurking days.....but I come only to the GD section now....and I will tell you why.....Everything has been talked about in the music sections. I have been here long enough to see the loop of topics being brought up over and over and over....In the Prince section people get WAAAAAY too into details about every obscure and insignificant topic you can think of and like I said I have seen every thread there at least 10 times before (unless its something new) same with the non Prince section....I come here for a little more variety and insanity (mostly on my part)

As for appreciation threads I admit I make them but I have no clique I do it to show love for my buddies or orgers I don't know that well but keep me entertained while at work. I like to see people who deserve it get props.....especially if they make me laugh or are my friend. But what you wrote is so me.....Hmm are we related? Oh and all my threads are open to the public cause all of them are nonsense anyway biggrin
Some of you orgers are so deceptive.....using my styles like a contraceptive....

what you said about the prince music boards is true. becasue of the repetitiveness I lurked out here in GD just to see what was going on. Right now I pop all over the place. GD is probaly the 2nd thing I click on now.

I'm sure I will be send you nonsense your way sometime soon. be patient. in fact ...

I'LL BE SENDING ALL OF YOU NONSENSE REAL SOON..AND IN RUN ON SENTENSES THAT YOU MAY NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND AND HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF WHAT I JUST SAID JUST TO MAKE SENSE OUT OF THE WHOLE GOSH DARNED THING IF I CANT EVEN REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS I WAS TALKING ABOUT EVEN!

so there. razz
