What makes you think? To some extent I guess you could say this is a relatively simple question. Yet it has no definite answer does it? I don't think it's a stupid question although it is clearly obvious it is our brain. From this perspective, that is that. Once we understand the brain, we will understand thought. But think about it. Think about thinking and see just what you understand about thought....
Is it therefore satisfactory to conclude that our brains make us think?

Is it therefore satisfactory to conclude that our brains make us think? Our brains do the work but the thinking comes from our hearts, our spirits and pure imagination! Then there is the dirty side but thats a whole different thread! TeeHee How are ya JD?

Thinking is purely the act of processing experience derived from outside sources.
If you don't experience anything, then you can't think about it, nor could you think about thinking about it.

What Im saying is, its not necessarily your brain that makes you think. I think its rather your consciousness. Showing someone a picture of a brain and stating this is what makes us think is like showing a picture of a tree lit up in a certain way and claiming that this 'explains' Christmas. if our brain did our thinking for us, why aren't our actions random? instinct? but if it were instinct, why are we capable of so much more than animals? so what it is? something's controlling our brains!! what it is?!? hmm... okay... i think i got an answer: spirit. yeah, there we go.

Experience and interaction causes our thinking process to be activated...both occur practically from conception, so our thinking/analytical process is always on, always being used and exercized. The more we experience, the more we interact with everyone and everything, the more we develop our "thinking" process, to the point that we can think even without specific experiences...we can visualize concepts in our mind's eye and think of them without having experienced them firsthand. Our souls/spirits then take this input, this data, and decides what to make of it, how to view and perceive it...what value to give it and what to learn from it.
As they say, change your thinking and you change your destiny.
