i know the answer to this but........

can men and women just be friends? i have 2 ,male friends at work and i swear i treat them like im their older sister.....BUT the idiots i work with have questioned me about the relationship i have with these 2 guys.....i know what it is they have no life of their own that they have to stick their noses in my life. these are the comments i have heard "u exude body language that makes us think u want guy #1" and "do u and guy him have a thing going...look of shock on my face, me saying im married and we are just friends then today the sweet innocent(or so i thought) older man at the door says to me, "does your husband work here?" i said no then he says "oh your boyfrind" again i saw no.... then i said u know men and women can be friends without any thing going on...i have made some changes in my life and attitude from when i first strated working there maybe thats what the problem is. well i will not change back to frumpy old stick in the mud melissa for anyone they can all kiss my ass biggrin thank u for listenting to me blow off steam i hope its not to hard to undersatnd, i kinda run together sometimes

MrJoker

I have many friends that are female, but I'd never want to be anything more with them even if I was single. I know them too well to know that things just wouldn't work out. However, they're great for friends, though.

I don't think them kissing your ass will help much in the argumen of just being friends, since most people will consider that action sexual. biggrin

Yes, men and women can just be friends, but I think there will always be some hidden sexual tension. maybe even unnoticeable, but I think it's there.

YES THEY CAN!!!

But....

I think, and it has been my experience, that in every friendship between a straight man and a straight woman there is a certain amount of sexual tension. It's all up to if, or how, you express those thoughts and desires.

I always think " Just how complicated do you want this to get?", sometimes the chance of losing the friendship is just too great to go down that road.

That's just my twocents

I dunno Melissa, I have never had a female friend where there wasn't significant sexual attraction..... I would say it is difficult at best....

Maybe he made the right choice. because if he chose to lose her, then obviously he's not a real friend. So it's better this way.
