What do you do if...

the book that you're reading doesn't live up to it's hype?

After reading 20+ chapters, it's not sexy anymore...now what?

Should I stop reading it and move on? or struggle with it some more?

HELP!

I HATE AN INCOMPLETE STORY! sad
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

What were you reading?

I say if it really sucks give up. I used to force myself to finish , but it really is a waste of time.

I'm reading Diary by Chuck Palahniuk ( he's the dude who wrote Fight Club) it's pretty good try reading that! smile
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

THE MILLIONAIRES, by Brad Meltzer...picked it up used. It's about 2 brothers who wanted to steal 3 million dollars out of an account, but actually stole 13 mill...now they have the FBI and bank investigators on their ass...

I'm anxious to start my other book, an autobiography on one of my childhood heroes:
YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS! - John McEnroe.

Wow! eek
Yep, I started watching JohnnyMac when he had the long hair against Borg. That long
tiebreaker at Wimbleton got me HOOKED!
When I played HS tennis, my serving motion was just like 'ol lefty's. lol

The first time I saw him play on TV was the 3rd set of the match before the one against Borg you mentioned, the semifinals against J. Conners in Wimbledon 1980 eek . It's great to see someone here on the org who is a fan as well nod

hmmm...well, me I'd keep going for maybe another couple of chapters...

"Lord Of the Rings" takes a while to get into the very first time you read it and that's why a lot of people give up on it...it's when you keep going that you find the joy in it nod

keep going and give your book one last chance wink I'm with you - I don't like to leave a story incomplete
