I LOVE new socks. I used to tell people I was going to start buying 365 pairs of sweat sox a year and wear them only once.

Exactly... nod...Only I'd wear them twice, just so that I could wash & dry 'em once to have that "fresh from the dryer" feeling...mg, warm socks on your feet... love2

I throw socks away when they don't look/feel brandy new anymore. That's usually about 5 wear/washes. redface

I started doing that, too...about 4 years ago. Also, when I go over to Steven's house (the guy I do side work for...you know who I mean..lol), I have to take my shoes off while in his house (it's an asian custom thing...), so I make damn sure my socks are crystal clean and as new as possible..lol smile

My favs:

a set of nice sheets
fabulous soap
equally fabulous lip goo
good coffee and chocolate
a huge round showerhead--it was the very first thing I bought when we closed on our condo
I buy myself flowers sometimes
I buy myself most of the music that I want
books
time to do nothing but read books!!!

Wishlist:

nice towels. I mean, I want to throw away ALL of my towels, and start over with just huge fabulous 100% egyptian cotton bath sheets. Someday I will.
great makeup. Again, wanna throw it all away and start over with the really nice stuff.
more nice sheets
a great bathtub
a housekeeper-- even just once a month would be great
more books!
more time to do nothing but read books!!!

  • I eat out a lot (albeit at inexpensive places usually)
  • Coca-Cola imported from Mexico ($2.25 per bottle, but it's sweetened with cane sugar instead of the cheaper corn syrup usually used in U.S. Coke)
  • A 12" Apple PowerBook G4
  • I travel often on super-cheap plane tickets, and because I know how to play the frequent flyer game, they usually upgrade me to First Class for free. (In fact, I've been batting 1.000 on free upgrades ever since I earned Elite status with my favorite airline.)
  • Vinyl records, sometimes imported
  • 100% cotton dress shirts (no polyester/cotton blends for me, thankyouverymuch)
  • Working for myself, and the freedom that comes with that
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.
