minor luxuries

I used to live like a monk... seriously. I had a bed a dresser, no paintings or knick knack type things around. I used to think that being hard on myself made me stronger. I thought that the more I indulged myself the less constitution, my soul held.

I'm not sure what changed me exactly but about a year ago, I began to see the value in taking care of me. Now, I do nice things for myself, nothing major, just nice little things that keep me happy, everyday. It may not make life eaiser, but it makes it more bearable.

Here's a list of minor luxuries I allow myself on the daily basis:

At home:

mosquito netting round my bed

Lots of pillows all sizes, shapes and hues, EVERYWHERE

300 ( or 350 not sure don't recall) thread count bed sheets

Chenile throws

Good tea

Good chocolate

At school:

A Big Clifford the big red dog stuffed animal I cuddle when I feel bad.(The kids love him too!)

pretty stationary

pretty coffee mugs

a hot pink feather duster pen

Comfy chairs I bought for my classroom

Windchimes

plants

What are somethings you do to make your life a little warmer?

at home:
a big leather chair in front of the computer.
and...and... hmmm that's it!

At work:
a laptop with everything I need to make music, just in case I have spare time.
lots of DVDs of live shows and comedies to pass the time.
and I've arranged myself a nice rich boss to take care of all my needs giggle
