a serious business question for anyone that can help..

ok, im not sure where this shoulda been posted, but i have a business question i need some help with.

prior to 9/11, i was a headhunter, and before the jokes even start, that means i was a recruiter - thats someone who goes into companies and takes employees out for other companies that arent allowed to do that.

ok, i think its about to be the right time to get back into that line of work, and im hungry to get back into it.... but heres the thing, i used to work with engineers in the petroleum industry... and we all know how things are going in with oil these days, i dont even wanna try to get back into that.

i need to know WHERE ON THE NET i could go to find out the most in demand jobs for 2004 and over the next 3-5 years. i have found this one, if it helps.. http://www.ctnet.com/pr/s...rsion.html but, i am trying to find a few more to see if they all compare the same way. i am not so good at finding information on the net yet, and i know others of you rock at that.. so, help me out here...

i want to know the best fields of work for the next few years comming up... after that, its time to get back to work !! thanks so much for your help.

thanks girl, the problem with monster.com is that they do exactly what most companies hate... they pull in a million folks, nothing is sorted out, see, what i do is handpick these candidates, and introduce them to the hiring folks.. they like that because i have already matched them up with what they are looking for.

plus, the type people you are most likely to make placements with are the ones that arent looking to change jobs. they are just at work, doing their jobs, until i come in and suggest a change... it gets them thinking, and things go from there. its truely awesome to take a person who didnt know they wanted to change jobs, and be able to move them into something else... really, its a neat job i have nod

Hello Nekkidhoney,

I like Office Depot for office supplies.

Now-a-days office equipment sucks. Choosing good office equipment is not easy because it is basically made to be disposable, so all the components are plastic.

I would suggest that you NOT get an all in one fax/copier/scanner. Get separate ones instead. For faxes, look for ones that use plain paper, not rolls and toner cartridges not rolls. Most fax machines also make copies, so if you're not going to make TONS of copies you might get by with that.

Hope that helps!

hug Congrats on getting back in the workforce! Good luck.
