Convertibles!!

Are there any convertible owners out there? I don't own one myself, since they are a bit out of my price range, but I love them. woot! It's so nice to put the top down and just drive around on a sunny day, with the wind blowing your hair all around. If I lived in a warmer climate, somewhere down south or out west, I probably would get a convertible, I just think they're pretty awesome! My oldest brother had a convertible at one time, and he let my cousin and I ride with him in it. It was so much fun, I just remembering thinking, "I would love to own one of these." cool cool
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

well, i like the way they look but i'm not sure i'd want to drive one. i'd be afraid something would fly up off the road and hit my head, or a bird would poo on me or something boxed

Yes, if you're female and happen to be driving, you need to just concentrate on the driving.

I had a convertible while I was in college and I was at a stop light and decided to lower the top. I lowered the top and then drove down the ramp onto the highway but I forgot that I had some folders sitting on the back seat so as I sped up I got the chance to see ALL of my homework and class notes flying all over the interstate.

My dad just bought a BMW Z3 M Class convertible (A newer versions of Prince's) and I LOVE it and I think I just may have to get one someday.

Something like this big grin

We've got this one, but in a lavender (light purple) color.
They ARE fun!!! nod
Living in MI, we only take it out during the summer months.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I have one! I love it!!!!! I have only ever had one car in my life that was NOT a convertible- it ws an SUV.... loved it too- but I am SUCH a convertible girl!!!!
PLUS- it is great cause I can just throw my surf board in the car and drive, no stapping it to a roof or looking silly with in inside the car! I just throw it in the back with my bike and head to the beach!!!
I HIGHLY reccommend them!!! I have only had one problem with a leak- but that was in MN when rain forze on my top and then the ice cut the vinyl- suckie!

drool Nice car! Sorry to hear about your mishap with your schoolwork flying out of the backseat of your car. I would have been highly pissed at myself.

That car would look great in lavender. I hear ya about only taking it out during the summertime, I live in Ohio, so it's the same thing here.

i bought my convertible just about a year ago, while I was still living in Denver. I was surprised how much I was able to have the top down in the winter!

but NOW, living in L.A..... YEE-HA!!!! I love driving wherever and whenever I can with the top down and the music blaring. It's especially fun to drive up the coast and see the ocean. Ahhh.....
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

lol True, it would not be too cool to flip your car over in a covertible (or any car for that matter) without a seatbelt on. biggrin
