A recent one of me    So beautiful... your mother reminds me of my second cousin (although I called her Aunt Diane, for she was the same age as my mother and was a big part of my life) I always thought and so did the family... that I resembled Diane far more than my mother. Then again... maybe not.
Anyways... this was taken about 9 years ago during a visit my sister and I took I kept in contact with my biological mother through the years, although now I really don't. Her life was filled with drugs, and men (criminal background people)... back in the days and I am sure still today. I even met my father in prison for the very first time when I was 15. (he has passed) As for my mother, I believe she is doing better now... although I feel no obligations toward her... no hard feelings, just don't. I owe everything to my aunt and uncle who gave up their entire life for my sister and I... my oldest sister lived with my grandmother and boy what a mess of life she has lived and still lives today. Me, my biological mother, my half-sister who was raised with me... and my two nephews.

Wonderful pic! And touching story behind...    My mum had a nervous breakdown and she's currently recovering, she's still very fragile. My father passed as well, a few months after my birth. At the time I don't have pics of my dad but I can say that he was handsome! It would have been wonderful knowing him , R.I.P.   Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity | |

Even though the people in the pictures are sort of like strangers to me, when I look at them, the kindness in their faces radiates such warmth . Couple that with knowing what they've done for you and your sister, it becomes ever more touching
'Creating the life' that calls you "Mum" or "Dad" is the easy part. Earning the RESPECT of someone else's creation calling you "Mum" and "Dad" is a truely supreme achievement. For Julie's Mum and Dad.....
