They're viewed as freaks in the public eye, but in the gnome underground there's support groups, therapy and housing that's provided by a special group that have gone through the same thing, and survived.

It all came down to a trial in 2000 where a gnome was trying to gain access to the public railway station, but she was denied access. Now really, gnomes don't use railways but it was all about the principle.

She won that case after taking it to court and now all gnomes must be allowed access regardless of race, creed, color, or gender.

The challenge is still there though. Still exists in the back of every children's story, of every liquored Irish folktale and every dream in the mind of a child that's recently seen Willow.
