yes, I just became the manager in the studios I work in. Never done that kind of work, but my boss left for the US, and I'm the only one he trusts to keep the place running.
I have no clue about paperwork, I have no clue about taxes, and I hate phones

[Edited 9/15/04 17:43pm] The Y has a very reputable program! Who will your instructor be? Your personal statement kicks ass! Just make sure all your paperwork is in on time!

Ex-Moderator | I hear ya! Work has been crazy for me lately. Lots of reasons, compounded by the fact that I have a really hard time dealing with my manager and it's time for me to move on and I don't really know yet what I wanna do. I've been contemplating options from quitting everything, going back to school full time and living on student loans to designing and making clothes and trying to sell them at local boutiques. I'd even consider joining you in your soap making venture if I had any interest in New Mexico. But I can't take the desert. |

I've just been to my first evening class of A level Chemistry and it was sheer hell.
It's been years since I done anything like chemistry at this level and he may well have been speaking a foreign language....though I did OK...but it's going to get tough... Trouble is I need this for a degree next year which I know I can complete...damned system may have to revise my options to preserve my sanity..... ...Hang on.....What sanity Stress is tough ..I empathise...it's finding an appropriate way of tackling it. I'm hanging on in for now...it may not be as bad as I think!

the desert can be nice once your body adjusts to the dryness and the heat. i hear you about not really knowing what your next step should be. Being such a book nerd, I think that going back to school is an excellent option just because a degree in something you love can open up so many doors. Does MN have a program where you can go to State University for free if you're a resident? look into that if you haven't already. You could always study the business end of fashion, which would help you with selling your designs to local boutiques. whatever you choose to do, listen to your heart before you listen to everyone else. good luck, girlie!
