MY NANA'S SICK I'm meant to be going to see my nana in Orange (where I was born and grew up) this weekend, leaving straight after work today...she just called me and asked me to come up another weekend because she said she's not well
At first I said OK because that's what she wanted but then I rang her back and insisted I'm going to come up and look after her because she sounds so sick  she's 74 years old but still plays tennis, does Avon etc - she's very active for her age still...problem is she thinks she's superwoman and she's just not
I'm really worried about her now and I hope I haven't done the wrong thing by insisting...she didn't put up too much of a fight tho, having said that, the poor thing. I think she'll appreciate having me there to look after her even if it is just for the weekend (I should explain that she's up there all by herself - all the family's gone from Orange a long time ago)...my Aunty's (her daughter) going up next weekend which is good and staying for a week, too | |

thank you  she's my nana and one of the closest people to me...it's my biggest fear about going overseas next year that something happens to her and I'm not here for her. it scares me...
she's one of the strongest women I've ever known - she lost her parents young and then her stepmum who she was really close to, then she lost her husband (my pop) then she lost one of her daughters (my Mum) so there's me, my brother and my Aunty (her other daughter) left | |
