I won a competition once - The All Ireland Complete Fucking Idiot Championships. I didn't even know it was on - I just turned up at the awards ceremony thinking I was going to a Prince concert, so they gave me the title, a weekend break for two in the delightful little hamlet of Twatt in the Orkney Islands, and 5p spending money.

When I got back I rang the organisers to enquire of them when I would receive my prize.
