Floris is a cutie!! I am so sorry to hear that he is sick, but hopefully he will be getting the care that he needs to become strong and carefree again.

I really do hate hearing about little ones having to go through these things. It's so hard on them and causes them to grow up faster than other kids, in my opinion.

Floris is a mediaeval name from the province of Holland and Jelle is a mediaeval name from the province of Friesland. Real Dutch names, maybe a bit posh when it comes to Floris' name. But then again, we're from the most posh village in The Netherlands, so that quite fits.

Very sad. I hope his surgery was completed without complication and that all is well. Obviously, we're all very close to our family members, but I think those of us who do not have children are often times extremely close to our sibling's children. At least, I know I love my niece and nephew a great deal. I'll be thinking of you and your nephew.

My sister just came back from the hospital and she was just putting her other son to bed when I called, but the short message was that the procedure went well.
