Unfortunately there were no sexual innuendoes. I saw a documentary about urban myths where the creator of Captain Pugwash mentioned there was no character called Seaman Staines and "Master Bates" was actually called Master Mates. I must admit that I was quite dismayed at this revelation and my illusions were shattered biggrin
