There was some scary eel movie on cable once that I made my dad turn off cause I was so scared. I don't remember what is was, but those were EVIL eels!

For me it would have to be the little voodoo doll that came to life and tried to kill Karen Black in "Trilogy of Terror". That thing scared the crap out of me when I was little...

If we're going for flat out monsters, I agree that the aliens are completely frightening!

On a related note, I know he's not a monster - and he's definitely not an animal - but the Elephant Man scurred me to death as a child! I had dreams he was hiding in the kitchen cabinets and was gonna come get me every time I grabbed a bowl for cereal.

We both agree that he'd still kick Jason, Ash, and Freddy's ass. As far as the type of horrors like Halloween....he was the scariest. Seeing that white mask appear in a mirror or window was scary as hell when I was little. And you remember part 4, when he tried to get Jamie and he was in her bedroom, and he appeared in her mirror when the lightning flashed. That scared me to death ,cuz I had a similar mirror like that.

i have yet to find a monster in a movie that scares me since i was brought up watching horror movies. the closest to being scared with any movie would be arachnaphobia because i am afraid/hate spiders....would the spiders in that count as scariest movie monster?
