Kashyyyk(wookie planet) anybody remember the television special that was based around chewbaccas family?
I know I loved seeing this special as a kid ! Is there any way to obtain this? Amazes me when someone being dogged by the masses wants to dog someone else. It's as if they will feel better if they are at least "better than" that person. We all the same stop with the greater than, less than mentality. - TheC

The Star Wars Holiday Special is widely available as a bootleg at most sci-fi and comic book conventions. Unfortunately, its not as good as you remember from your childhood. In fact, its downright awful! Its unlikely to ever see an official release, since Lucas has stated that if he had enough time and a hammer, he would destroy every copy.
On the plus side, we will be seeing Kashyyk (and Chewie) in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Or that dude from Carrol Burnett in drag as a four-armed alien Julia Childs!!! Or Mark Hammill wearing so much makeup he coulda started a glam band! Or (my favorite) Princess Leia SINGING THE STAR WARS THEME!!!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. Yes, Itchy, Malla and Lumpy all appear in the books (which actually pissed some fans off. Most would prefer that the SWHS be forgotten). Of course, it does have the distinction of featuring the very first appearance of Boba Fett (in an animated short)!! As far as I'm concerned, its worth watching just to see how incredibly awful it is!! Seriously, Jar Jar leading the Ewoks in a giant musical tribute to Winger wouldn't be as bad!!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

The commercials included in my VHS copy is something to see as well. It really takes one back to the late 70s. "Look for the Union label...."
