Check out my freakin' awesome new toy!

I literally jumped out of my skin when I stumbled across this during my little vacay jaunt to NYC last weekend. I paid thirty damn bucks for a damn doll, but sheesh...how cool is he?!?

Anx! Don't take it out of the container- that could be really really valuable someday. It even says on it "not a toy"!

Wow. He looks a little Asian. Like an Asian mafia boss. He could probably take my Mr. T action figure any day.

figures. (pardon the pun) it's made by a japanese toy company...though i kinda think it looks like a cross between jared harris in "i shot andy warhol" and david bowie if he had been in "the matrix". smile

there's also an 80s andy warhol action figure where he's got a black turtleneck and the spiked-up hair, but i couldn't afford both so i went with the more mod of the two.

Did I tell you that I once did a whole bunch of research on Andy Warhol? Cause I did. I was even gonna write a book in homage to him. But, umm... that didn't go very far and it was kinda stupid. redface
That toy is the coolest! Next time, pick one up for me! wink

dancing jig

That would be AWESOME! We could have a little Velvet Underground set (which hopefully comes with a CD) and I could make my Gerard Melanga doll dance with a whip! Woo-Hoo!!!!!

Amen to that!

I'm talking real Studio 54, not a movie tie-in either, people.

Figures with removable clothes, strange white powders and bathrooms full of odd drunken conversations?

Gotta have the bouncer outside with action door entry access denial!

Just think how much fun the kiddies will have!

biggrin

i read a story once about how studio 54 once did a reenactment of the titanic disaster with a giant papier mache boat crashing into a giant papier mache iceberg...and then the boat cracked in two, eartha kitt stepped out of the wreckage, and then she launched into "i will survive".

i want a playset of THAT. nod

I'd buy 9 of that!

biggrin

They could market limos to bring the stars up-have action light up disco dance floor, with lights and sound-we know they could do it-just look at the Metallica ...And Justice For All playset that was made by McFarlane toys-surely they can go even farther?

cool

In Pittsburgh grocery stores, recently, they were selling a limited edition set of Andy Warhol Cambell Soup Cans. It was like 3 cans of soup in a pack, all with Warholish labels on them. I hinted to my sis that I wanted a set for Xmas this year, we'll see if she gets it for me...

I'd be grace that makes a sniffing sound or one that you can take off the hair and pretend you're her brother.
