It happens everywhere and it is always the men you least expect.

domestic violance is one of the most demeaning and soul destroying things that can happen within a relationship and can kill every feeling there ever was

sad

call the cops. i wish they applied the same reporting standard of child abuse to spousal abuse - if you hear or see it and don't report it, it's a criminal offense.

It's a pretty dickless act in my opinion. Don't even get me started on people that beat children....

I mean, I don't advocate domestic violence at all, but I mean children have no idea, at least grown adults know what's going on (not that that makes it better, but you know what I mean)

it's easy to say that there isn't alot you can do if the women won't defend them selves but it's not as easy as that.

A lot of domestic violance involves not just the slaps, punchs and kicks but the mental attacks which can make the women feel they not only can't get out of the relationship but that they actually deserve to be treated the way they are.

it is usually alot of help from outside, or when a family member member or friends find out that the woman will realise she is not to blame and even then it can be a long and difficult way back to confidence and the ability to leave and as such "defend" themselves

Agreed and until you wake up so to speak you have no idea it's even happening to you. So unless a person knows what it's like to deal with that people should never say "why don't they just leave?" or "if that was me I would just walk out" It's not that easy...btw .....good morning sweetie smile hug

I got out of a domestic violence relationship.

There is help out there and if you don't have money, no matter if you are a man or a woman experiencing abuse - you don't have to accept it. Take the power and control back. Speak up and get help. Always go to a shelter, they have a lot of supports to help you to get help and your own place to live.

CC I'm surprised at you!!!

I agree with Rhonda...sometimes it's extremely difficult to get out of these situations - you don't know unless you've been there
