Hurricane update....

this storm is wack.

it's covering the entire fucking state, and it ruined the whole holiday weekend, i'm tired of being holed up in the house. There's power outage's across the state, I hope mine stays on.

It's a cat. 1 now, which means 90+ mph sustained winds.

thanks! you want to know what really sucks about this particular hurricane?

it is moving SO FUCKING SLOW.

I mean, they are usually much faster than this one. It's just stuck over the state, moving at a paltry 10mph or something like that.

GO AWAY FRANCES, NO ONE LIKES YOU.

Yeah, but here in the UK, people have just lost all idea as 2 what should b top priority in their lives!! They all think that football(soccer) and the pubs are the main reasons for living here!!

This country could do with a huge national disaster, natural or otherwise, 2 make people realize what should b the main focus in life and that is family, community spirit and togetherness!!

The natural disasters that the USA experience really makes communities pull together and work 2 help one another and they dont become 2 attached 2 material things!!!

When we lived in the USA, we worked side by side with millionaires 2 fill sandbags and everyone became equal!!!!

This country is still full of snobs!!! sad sad sad sad sad

I think you walk about with blinkers on

but i don't want to list everything good about this place cause i could be here all day

and i know you would still pick silly holes into it,

I can think of worse places i'd like to live and nowhere i would prefer to live so i am happy

at the end of the day

Life is what you make it

negativity is a damn site more damaging than "living for pubs and football"

just ne happy your safe

yeah, disasters are great, there really should be more of them. neutral

I tried to sympathise with you earlier, but please, if you have a problem then just get shot of the country, don't be bad mouthing it nonsensically and wishing disasters upon it.

Please. Give it UP.

And what are you priorities lady, all I ever see you do is moan about how unwell your husband is and how he can't find work and then I see you online all day each and every day doing nothing but write this garbage, get off your lazy ass and get yourself a job and help your obviously unwell husband have a rest and get better.

Yeah let's have a disaster with thousands killed just so we can show we can all pull together in times of need, I think we can all do that pretty well thank you very much. I've never heard something so idiotic in all my life.

UNREAL !!!

Come on people - We dont to be wishing these kinds of things on ourselves (DO WE?) There is enough horror on the world without wishing for more - just so people "pull together"
The togetherness that was felt during the time of 9th Sept 2001 soon faded and we were soon
back to our old ways of looking out for number one.
Lets concentrate on the good in the world and how "life can be so nice" in the UK and US. Its easy to concentrate on the negative aspects of any society, and much more difficult to look at the good in the world!! Wishing for more "disasters" is not the way to go, think of all the poor people in Florida right now - im sure theyre not sat in there boarded up houses thinking how great it is that they are being battered by a hurricane so people can emerge and pull together - this is just madness to think such a thing!!
