My lil brother stole the rent money Now my mom called me crying not knowing what 2 do.
My little brother is 8, he's known for stealing. But this time its gone 2 far. She hid the money under the couch where he was sleeping, $800 worth. She told him to not say anything to any1. Well, this morning she says, there was only $600. My mom is trying to scare him by saying she is gonna call the police on my 20 year old brother. When she said that he said, "NO! He didnt do it!" When i asked him on the phone he said, "Maybe it was Ralph" (her ex boyfriend). She said she was going to call police on him and then he said, "No! Wait until Toussaint comes back!!" (my 20 year old brother). Now all signs point to him. She said she doesnt wanna hit him....she said she doesnt know what 2 do and he has been acting funny. What should say? OK so we know he is scared of the police.. why not have an officer come over and have a talk with him.. Also when he steal is he just "collecting the stuff he steals or is he doin other things with it like selling to other friends... The reason I ask is that if an officer came over to talk with him maybe he'd cough up the cash if he still has it.. What is a 8 year old gonna do with 200 bucks. Also why in the world would your mom hide money and tell the lil man where it was, thats just asking for trouble!! Kids are impulsive creatures by nature, and if he's got a stealin jones on top of it then you have to take care not to put him in situations that are tempting for him.. also she may want to consider getting some professional help for the young lad.. these type things tend to get worse not better if not treated. Best of luck to ya!! Celest.

If I had the money, I'd send it you by PayPal so your mother could pay the rent until it turns up.
I'm sure he can't have spent it already. It must be hidden someplace.

Thank you guys so much...my little brother told me my mom was gone most of the night. I dont know.
That would be a GOOD idea to have an officer speak to my brother, he does indeed have a problem. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

first and foremost, your little brother needs a most serious ass whoopin'! no joke. he needs to be afraid to steal ever again. i'm not saying punches in the mouth or anything, but he needs a switch taken to him AND have any of his prized belongings "stolen" from him for a period of time.
secondly, has your mom ever thought about putting the money in the bank rather than hiding it in the house? it would save a lot of hassle not to mention earn a little interest.

Your mom needs to nip this situation in the bud. I'm not sure what the solution is but your brother is heading down a road that holds nothing but trouble for him. My cousin was taught by his father to steal when he was 4. He's been thieving ever since. He's been in and out of jail. Just got out, will be back in soon I'm sure.
