Three Big Whoops For Anxy! 
1. I just started a new position at my job that I think I'm gonna like a lot more than what I've been doing...at least there's gonna be a raise involved...I'm kind of in a "leadership" position now, and my bosses are talking about this being some kind of doorway for me to go into a managerial position in the future...dunno if that's really what I'm looking for, but it's nice to move UP for a change. WHOOP! 
2. My sweetie and I are going to NYC this weekend to visit my best gal pal in the whole world, check out the new party Sunday night by the people who created the legendary Squeezebox club (the party's called "Muthafugga", so it BETTER be good), and most importantly, we're gonna EAT EAT EAT like happy little piggies...TWO BOOTS PIZZA AND CURRY ROW, HERE WE COME. WHOOP!!
3. I just got tix to see Diamanda Galas perform in Chicago later this month!!! WHOOP!!!  | |

only diamanda is less about throat singing (though it's something she does), and more about speaking in tongues. imagine if maria callas were possessed by pazuzu from "the exorcist" and then broke into siouxie sioux's wardrobe. voila - diamanda! | |

Sounds fun! I swear, Ancestors has really opened my mind up. Something about it fascinates me. I listened today at work (in headphones) and I'm just amazed that those sounds are coming from a human being that isn't in pain or dying.

It's fascinating. The weird/annoying thing about me is, usually the things that I react with the most violent negativity to at first tend to be the things I end up loving. I really wish there was some kind of video or CD available from the Squeezebox. I'll I've got are the videos that are on the "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" DVD....and I'm glad to have that! Do you like Peaches (the girl singer, not the fuzzy fruit... ) | |
