why do orgers make threads?

i feel that everyone needs to know why threads are made. there some ppl on forums who don't see the point in them. so please everyone please give there insight on this so everyone will know when they ask "what's the point?" i think its because we all want something to talk about or have something to do when we're bored at work or because we all share a love for prince and want to share that with others.

i respond to more threads than i start (unless althom started the thread, then i just lock it), so i'm happy for the people on here who are the habitual thread-starters cuz it gives me something to think about (except for althom's threads, which are of course evil and crappy).

Why are threads started?

In my case:

1. Boredom. neutral

2. Insanity.

3. Something to do while waiting on food.

4. Something to do after food

5. Something to do instead of doing something useful.

6. A need for attention.

7. A need to change the world.

8. Lots of free time.

9. Even more free time.

Thank you.

biggrin

And something to do if no one is around and you don't want to eat alone. So you take food to the computer with you and proceed to type as you drop crumbs into the keyboard. biggrin
