I have finally realized why I dont live in Florida....the path has changed....good for us but bad for florida.....though the evacuation route is already planned for this weekend for our coast. (Im in SC) Glad I never moved to the coast!....I think I need a change in location as it is....maybe somewhere out west....or another country lol I'm feelin kind of n-a-s-t-y
I might just take you home with me

Luckily my baby sister and her family are in town for my brother's wedding this weekend.
They live in Pembrook Pines, right outside of Miami...they are scheduled to leave on Tues. morning, so hopefully it'll have subsided by then. Hope their home is still there... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I spoke with my mother and brothers yesterday, and they're right in the storm's projected path. Needless to say, they're extremely worried about this hurricane. They are leaving today to stay with friends and are concerned that they may lose their house to this storm. It's very dismaying and worrisome that they are there, about to experience a storm that could possibly be devastating, and I am here in Minneapolis. There's absolutely nothing I can do about it, and that troubles me.
It doesn't help matters that mom's already thinking the outright worst, but I can't say that I wouldn't do the same thing. It's ironic that they're going to stay with some friends in Ft. Myer - these are the same friends that stayed with them a few weeks back when a different hurricane tore apart that city.

I'm in Sarasota, very close to Tampa. We got lucky that Charley happened to miss us. Now I'm glad about Charley because we're better prepared for this one. I'm not too worried, though. Being so wide makes it easier for Frances to fall apart so it's expected that it will be down to a category 1 by the time it gets to us on the GulfCoast (the west side of Florida).
